Great and balanced article. About bitcoin, I fail to see how it can find a use case beyond fraud and paying for illegal activities. I guess it's better than the classic suitcase with cash, although not as picturesque.

Bluesky's idea of having an invite-only social media platform (for now) and then growing the invite codes exponentially is an interesting twist on the methodology, which is based on concepts like developing a community and focusing on engagement. I will definitely take a look. And also think that the so called crypto currencies deserve an article on their own from your project. At this point bitcoin in particular is far from exponential and its community is a bit bizarre, so not sure they still qualify. Interesting experiment, now we can move on.
